ABOUT HEALTHY KIDS MENDOCINO

The mission of Healthy Kids Mendocino is to achieve universal

health insurance coverage for all children in Mendocino County.

We accomplish our mission by:

• Assisting families with uninsured children to enroll in government-funded insurance programs for children
• Paying for health insurance costs for uninsured children that are not eligible for government-funded programs
• Working with community partners within local communities to reach families in an environment that is comfortable to them
• Supporting parents in using local health care resources.

Healthy Kids Mendocino assists with enrolling children into one of the following programs:

• Medi-Cal: Comprehensive coverage at no-cost to low income children

• Healthy Families: Comprehensive coverage at a low cost to low- and middle income children

• CalKids: Limited coverage at a low cost to low- and middle-income children not eligible for Medi-Cal or Healthy Families.

Depending on your family income, your children can be enrolled in one of these programs.
